The Honourable Jerry Grafstein will be the guest speaker at the International Churchill Society's annual general meeting Thursday, February 28th. Jerry has written on key aspects of the public life of Winston Churchill and the theme of his talk is "Churchill as a Liberal".

Jerry was a Senator for twenty six years, and the longest serving member of the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade. He served as Co-Chair of the Canada- United States Inter-Parliamentary Group and as a Senior Officer of the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly for over a decade. His contribution to the betterment of our society has been multi-various including being the co-organizer of “Canada Loves New York”, when over 26,000 Canadians visited New York City to assist New York City’s recovery after 9/11, and “Toronto Rocks”, considered the largest ticketed band concert in history, attended by almost ½ million people, to offset the negative impact on Toronto in the global media as a result of the SARS outbreak.
