Samantha is an Associate in the Litigation and Bankruptcy and Insolvency Groups. Samantha’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation as well as bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. She regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice and the Commercial List.
Samantha represents clients involved in a range of litigation, including contractual disputes, commercial real estate and commercial leasing disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, receivership applications, construction litigation, tort claims, fraud investigations, and shareholder oppression remedies.
As a law student, Samantha volunteered for Legal Aid Ontario and the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic, where she successfully appeared before various tribunals, including the Parole Board of Canada. These experiences inspired her interest in advocacy and deepened her appreciation for the importance of access to justice.
Samantha is delighted to join the Commercial List Amicus Program as volunteer duty counsel. In this role, Samantha acts as duty counsel for self-represented litigants appearing before the Superior Court of Justice – Commercial List. Samantha also volunteers as an Associate Mentor to the firm’s summer students.
Outside of the firm, Samantha sits on the Young Professionals Board of Save a Child’s Heart, a charitable organization that provides free, life-saving heart surgeries to children from developing countries.
