Minden Gross LLP was founded in 1950 by Arthur Minden, Edwin J. Pivnick and Morris A. Gross. Very early in its development, the firm achieved a reputation for its skills in commercial real estate transactions.
In the early 1960's the firm expanded with the addition of Jerry S. Grafstein and Herbert J. Greenstein. Jerry Grafstein, a retired member of the Senate of Canada, developed a practice focusing on communications and administrative law. At the same time, the firm established corporate and civil litigation services to meet the growing needs of its clients.
The firm expanded from five to fifteen lawyers in the decade between 1965 and 1975 and then settled down to a brief period of consolidation.
Throughout the 1980's and into the 1990's, to accommodate the rapid growth of its client base and their diverse requirements, the firm undertook a further expansion program.
