Members of our Commercial Leasing group attended the 2017 ICSC Canadian Law Conference that took place from April 27-28 in Toronto. Stephen Messinger, Michael Horowitz, Ian Cantor, Christina Kobi, Adam Perzow, Melissa Muskat, Enzo Sallese, Benjamin Radcliffe and Angela Mockford were session leaders and roundtable leaders. They spoke on a variety of topics from “dealing with difficult legal professionals” to leasing litigation fundamentals (including remedies and limitation periods), options to renew and extend leases, and property taxes. And after presenting an entertaining roundtable with Adam Perzow on drafting lease clauses that allow dogs into commercial buildings, Benjamin Radcliffe pulled double duty (standing in for author Stephen Posen to present a paper on technical aspects of assignments of lease). Christina Kobi and Angela Mockford were on the program planning committee for the conference, and will continue to represent the firm on the planning committee in 2018.
